Dark clothing tends to slenderize.
Tone down bright colors. Bright colors attract attention away from the face and may be reflective. Avoid wearing red, bright pink, bright green etc. A bright color works well under a navy, gray, or black business jacket.
Avoid light colors, especially yellows, skin tones, and pale greens. Light colors can add 20-30 lbs to your appearance.
We have found that a medium blue dress shirt or blouse flatters almost all skin tones.
No short sleeve clothing. Long-sleeved clothing is a MUST! When arms are exposed to the camera there will be more flesh in the photograph in those areas than on the face, itself. This is a major distraction.
Avoid puffy sleeves they can add 10-30 pounds in camera.
If you normally wear glasses, we suggest you wear them for your portrait.
Cool tones enhance skin tones and are recommended.
Wear your makeup as you would normally.
Keep in mind that excessive eyeliner or heavy mascara will make your eyes look smaller. Let us enhance your eyes with our retouching process.
Heavy foundation is harder to retouch and look natural than bare moisturized skin.
