Professional Photographer

Tashia R Peterman M. Photog., Cr., M.Artis, F-PPC

With a strong desire to create beautiful images, Tashia began her photographic career in 1999.
After learning how to capture images with her camera and lens, and wanting to take her images to a higher level, she began studying and working with Photoshop, developing her retouching, color correction, enhancement, and compositing skills which have helped her earn over 35 merits and awards for the images she has created.

Tashia has assisted other photographers in earning merits by lending her retouching and enhancement skills under their artistic direction. Her artistic talents have been sought after by Master photographers across California, and she has taught workshops for photographers through local, state, and national associations.

In 2013, she was awarded the Master of Photography (M.Photog.) degree by Professional Photographers of America. This degree is granted for superior photographic skills, demonstrated through the PPA International Photographic Competition, advanced education, and service to the industry. In 2012, she received the Photographic Craftsman (Cr.Photog.) degree, which is given for service as a speaker, author, or mentor, highlighting her commitment to moving the industry forward and promoting education. In 2011, Tashia was honored with the Fellowship Award from Professional Photographers of California, recognizing her drive for excellence and originality in professional photography.

In 2018, she earned the Master Artist degree (M.Artist) from Professional Photographers of America, an accomplishment she is most proud of and found the most challenging to achieve. The degree is awarded for superior photographic skills, demonstrated through the Artist Exhibition category of the PPA International Photographic Competition (with images evaluated for computer-applied techniques and proficiency), advanced education, and service to the industry.
